A beguiling hacienda sits tucked into the hillside beneath a towering willow-type tree. Begun en plein air at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico, where Georgia O’Keefe lived and painted. I was drawn by the colors and the contrasting warm backlight and the shadows it created upon this vignette. Finished in the studio.
