Pansies and violas are among my favorites to paint.  They have such personality with their little faces!  I look forward to visiting garden centers in the spring to collect as many different colors and varieties as possible.  I always feel like a kid in a candy store... so hard to choose… I want some of each!  I set up this outdoor still life on my terrace, where you can see some violas growing through the bricks where they had seeded themselves the previous year.  Always a joy to be sitting in my garden and painting flowers!
